Testing the 'GRE'y area!

Studying for the GRE is a dramatic experience of life. Now I'm not being philosophical or anything, but I confess this is the way I feel about it...Maybe its because like life, its full of surprises! You can't say what emotion you will feel, the next moment.
Take yesterday for example. I was studying some GRE words when I came across this one..Meretricious....sounds much like meritorious ...so you wanna be meretricious..???Well you won't, ever when you will come to know that meretricus means a prostitute in latin....boy...fell right into that one didnchA???
Life has a cruel habit. When you expect something to be very difficult, it mostly comes out to be quite easy...and all your preparations go down the drain!! However, you feel happy all the same! That's what happens when you start to solve an exercize of GRE quantitative(maths)....I think that everyone should have a training course of say....an hour(!) of the maths section.....when he is in 10th std...maximum...I mean, easy is acceptable...but GRE maths!!!
But then you will find that some things, some incidences make you wish, "Please God, take all the good things away if you want...just don't make me go through this!!!!"...well there are some blatantly and purely evil things in GRE which make you do the same! It comes under the name ...RC...Reading comprehension. Sure..you'll say that you've heard of it before...and wasn't that hard ...well guys...this is something else...if what you had come across was a cat...say..then this...may be close to sabretooth!! It is the easiest way to loose your self confidence. I mean, after reading the horrible 6lined sentences, you are in doubt whether you can read english and understand it or what????
So that's that. But like life, one has to go through all that. Sometimes its sunny, other times gloomy as hell...but i guess...we won't be happy to see the sunny sky unless we experience the gloom and the dark in life...can we??

hey bro..

looks like the GRE english is actually sinking in into your vocab. good for you, but i think time would soon come when ill have to check the online dictionary for some meanings :)

Well, to tell u the truth, i went through with my only attempt at GRE with a 2 week preparation i was able to put in, with the job n all. will tell u the results later :) so kinda relate to the heaven/hell confusion u need to go through.. n after 5 years of architecture it was something else to actually solve all the math which seemed quite simple yet made me go mad when i couldnt firgure out a way around it.
All i can do is wish all the luck.
Oak kakanche ashirwaad tar ahetach :)
