COEP times!!

The exam cell staff from Coep pune, i am sure have been recruited based on the degree of cruelty and lack of compassion they exhibit. You may call this an overstatement, but ask any COEPian about the exam pattern, and you will be greeted with stony glares and angry murmers! The second semester of the year 07-08 was enough to prove that.
It started on a high note in january, the students returning after a refreshing december vacations. But as one glanced at the timetable, it was clear that all of us were doomed! The schedule was hectic enough for an IT professional go into depression.....here's a look at it

1 Jan Sem begins..(usually this indicates that the cleaning staff will start their work on this day! U may come a week afterwords!)
16th Feb Midsem exam(how were we supposed to study half of our wretched textbooks in 40 odd days when it took us 15 to purchase them and 25 to open them??!!)
1-8 Mar Gathering week(an official permission to bunk college, have fun and get away from the boring, stifling classrooms!!)
9 Mar Regatta(Whole day of fun...and of course holiday on the day next to it!)
5Apr Submissions(A chance for the professors to show their true colours...and for the students to hide theirs!!)
8-12Apr Pracs(It was like getting hit by the bus just when u recover a boxing bout...the victor being the external....knocking you out cleanly!!)
17Apr Theory Papers(If there ever was a doomsday...its this! We were goners,everyone of us, no strings attached!!)
The things in the brackets are the gut feelings i have about the respective events...turn out to be accurate! We messed up the exams, thanks to the authorities!
But the great pupils of the great institute hardly give a s$%t(viewers' discretion blah blah!) for such trifles! The papers are checked in the week following the exams. What a way to kill a prey twice!! I mean just when we think that it's all over....marks prove otherwise!! And then the result. Its the 1 thing in our college's schedule that's eternally delayed, I don't know why...its one of the great unsolved puzzles of the century!
But as they say,All's well that ends well ,the sem ends with us scraping through the subjects, and we free to enjoy a mammoth vacation of three months! No wonder all the students other colleges go green!The semester ends with the students forgetting the hardships faced in the form of lectures, practicals, and most of all the exams! Hail all coepians, for they show the indomitable spirit of smiling through pain and suffering!!
