Today, had a lecture on driving ethics from the intructor of my driving school. It was pretty good, although i feel considering the pitiable condition of traffic, that the man is fighting for a lost cause. Bit harsh on him, but i say its a compliment! At least i am goin to follow the rules he has laid down. I live, and drive for considerable part of the year in pune, undoubtedly the worst city regarding traffic. So all the more reason for me to be the better man, or rather to save my skin!(Literally speking folks! Try scraping the tar road, the wrong way!!)
See, the basic principle of his was really simple, that I must stop. That will make the driver control himself and ensure safe driving. This remind me of the satyagraha technique taught to us by the Great Man himself, and how it is not that useful now-a-days. I mean the picture looks pretty from the whole 'Lage raho...Munnabhai' angle, but the thing is that the people have become so rude these days, i doubt when they will feel ashamed!! So a man may offer his duusra gaal for a slap, but may and probably will get another(slap) nevertheless!! Then, why not the same response in the I Stop technique...? May seem far fetched, but how many times have you decided to wait for your turn, but then understood that in this bad,bad world...nobody gives it to you , you have to take it!!?? Think bout it!
